Arne Slot
admitted that he was not worried about his position after Liverpool lost 1-4 to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League match at Anfield Stadium, Thursday (27/11) early morning WIB.
The Reds, who on paper should have been able to crush PSV, instead achieved disappointing results in front of the public. This crushing defeat even meant that Liverpool had suffered nine defeats in the last 12 matches in all competitions.
“No, I’m not worried [about my position as coach]. My focus is on other things rather than worrying about my position. I have to do it better,” said Slot as quoted by

In this match, Liverpool were able to equalize the score through Dominik Szoboszlai after falling behind due to Ivan Perisic’s penalty goal. However, in the second half, PSV was able to break through Giorgi Mamardashvilli’s goal three times through Guus Till’s goals and Couhaib Driouech’s brace.
“I thought we had enough chances to go 2-1 up, and at half-time [when the score was tied at 1-1] I don’t think anyone expected us to lose 4-1,” Slot said.
“After we conceded the first goal, we saw the reaction I wanted to see. The mentality I saw afterwards was what we expected, but it’s not always easy when we’ve experienced so many disappointments.”
The Dutch coach did not deny that the defeat to PSV was difficult for him to accept.Slots also want players to continue fighting to get out of this difficult situation.
“What I mean is that we have to face what we are facing now and fight as hard as we can,” he said.
