provide a formal response to pressure

to return to using the historical “Pierced Lion” logo.
Previously, the Aremania Presidium took the initiative to send an Open Letter to the Arema Foundation regarding a request for permission to copyright the old logo.
Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi understands Aremania’s longing to see the symbols of past glory attached to Arema today.

“We really appreciate Aremania’s poll steps and sincere aspirations. Honestly, we in management also have the same longing. The Piercing Lion logo is an inseparable part of our history,” said Yusrinal in Malang.
“We see that the Presidium’s step in sending an open letter is a very noble and procedural effort. It puts the problem in its place. We at the club really appreciate this effort,” he said.
The man who is familiarly called Inal invited all parties to respond positively to the aspirations and letter, especially for the purpose of unity and shared pride.
“Our portion in management is to continue to strive to maintain Arema’s existence in the competitive path and protect Arema’s commercial rights. We hope that other parties who hold the copyright for the Piercing Lion logo, according to their portion, can sincerely fulfill Aremania’s aspirations as stated in the Presidium’s application,” he said.

Yusrinal emphasized that currently the authority to use the pierced lion logo is in the hands of the copyright holder.
“The authority to hand over or allow the use of the logo lies with them (copyright holders), not with the club. This portion and authority needs to be understood to the public so that there is no overlap in authority. We are waiting for the ‘green light’ on legality,” said Yusrinal.
Arema FC management, continued Yusrinal, has a moral responsibility to set an example of legal compliance.The club does not want to build Arema’s greatness without respecting the rights of other parties.
“We comply with the law, so we want to proceed in the correct way and according to regulations,” said Yusrinal.
