Thailand launched air strikes using F-16 fighter jets in response to Cambodian rocket attacks on the border on Monday (8/12) local time.

The Cambodian military was previously reported to have fired BM-21 type rockets at the Thai residential area in Ban Sai Tho 10, Ban Kruat district, Buri Ram.
The Thai military reported that one soldier was killed as a result of the Cambodian rocket attack.
“At least four Cambodian civilians were killed as a result of Thai attacks,” said a statement from the provincial authorities of Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihea, as quoted by

Thailand reports that fighting clashes are currently erupting along the border, specifically at Chong An Ma, Hill 677, Huai Tamalia, Khna area, and Prasat Ta Muen Thom.
The Thai military instructed all units to use all force to protect the people and sovereignty of Thailand.
In another report, Thai Army spokesman Major General Winthai Suvaree said Thailand had now started using fighter jets to attack targets in Cambodia.
The initial air strike targets that have been identified are Chong An Ma, Prasat Khana and the Preah Vihear area.
These targets are believed to be command posts and fire support positions used to attack Thai territory.
