Even though there has been a decision on the appeal, said Nurdaliah, her party has not yet received a copy of the decision from the high court.
“The SIPP already exists, but nothing has reached us from the court,” he said.
Previously, the panel of judges at the Sungguminasa District Court (PN), Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi sentenced the main defendant to the counterfeit money factory at the State Islamic University (UIN) Alauddin Makassar, Annar Salahuddin Sampetoding, to 5 years in prison.
The chairman of the panel of judges at the Gowa District Court, Dyan Martha Budhinugraeny, read out her decision that the defendant was proven to have violated as stipulated in article 37 paragraph (2) of the Law on Currency.
“Sentenced the defendant Annar Salahuddin Sampetoding to prison for 5 years,” said Dyan, Wednesday (1/10).
Not only imprisonment, in the decision the panel of judges also imposed sanctions in the form of a fine of IDR 300 million on Annar.
“The defendant was legally and convincingly proven to have ordered the purchase of raw materials for counterfeit money,” he said.
The five year sentence from the Gowa District Court to Annar Salahuddin Sampetoding is relatively lighter than the public prosecutor’s (JPU) demand of eight years.
After hearing the verdict, Annar did not accept the verdict by filing an appeal.
“So, I submit a noble appeal,” said Annar in the trial at that time.
