Discovery of an unclaimed suitcase on Jalan Seroja, Tonja Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City,

, caused a stir among local residents, on Saturday (22/11).
The suspicious suitcase was placed in front of a beauty salon by someone wearing an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) jacket and then abandoned.

Frightened residents suspected that the suitcase contained a bomb or other deadly material.
Head of Public Relations of the Denpasar Police, Commissioner I Ketut Sukadi, said that the Gegana Bomb Disposal Team (Jibom) of the Bali Police Mobile Brigade was immediately deployed to the location after receiving a report regarding the findings at around 10.00 WITA.
“After being sterilized by the Bali Police Mobile Brigade Jibom Unit, no suspicious items or bombs were found in the suitcase. The contents of the suitcase were two mica children’s toys and two plywood cupboard doors,” said Kompol Sukadi, Saturday (22/11).
Previously, on Saturday (22/11) at around 10.00 WITA, a suspicious item was found in the form of a Polo Team brand suitcase in front of the beauty salon.
At that time, the salon owner saw a suspicious suitcase in front of the salon, then the salon owner contacted the shop owner and informed him that a suspicious suitcase had been found in front of the salon.
“Then the shop owner reported the incident to the North Denpasar Police,” he added.
Meanwhile, from the testimony of the witness with the initials KDAK, he saw a man wearing an online motorcycle taxi outfit monitoring CCTV, when the witness was about to open the tutoring where he worked at around 08.30 WITA.
Next, the man immediately lowered the suitcase he was carrying and not long afterward the man immediately left the suitcase at the crime scene.
“The witness immediately went into his workplace and when he came out to sweep the shop yard he found the suitcase still there,” he said.
