plans to revitalize Daan Mogot Park in West Jakarta to make it brighter, more open and able to be used more widely by the public.
He stated this after the park was suspected of being a location for same-sex prostitution practices which went viral on social media some time ago.

“Daan Mogot is one of the things we will prioritize to make the park brighter, more open, and everyone can take advantage of it. Yesterday it was really like pitch black,” said Pramono on Saturday (15/11).

On Saturday (15/11), Pramono said that the revitalization of this park was important to ensure that people were comfortable doing activities, whether for sports, recreation or just relaxation.
He also said he would use a “mutual cooperation scheme, including CSR”.He hopes that if many parties are willing to help, the park revitalization project will be faster and wider.
The DKI Jakarta Satpol PP itself said that it had deployed officers every night at Daan Mogot Park after a number of men were caught allegedly practicing same-sex prostitution in the park.
“At night, we deploy around 10 people. During the day we just carry out routine patrols because the potential for violations is small,” said Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan, on a separate occasion.
Apart from that, the West Jakarta Satpol PP also posted warnings from Regional Regulation 8 of 2007 Article 42 at a number of points considered vulnerable in the area.The warning contains prohibitions and sanctions for perpetrators of prostitution.

On Saturday (15/11), officers previously arrested two men who were suspected of being involved in immoral practices in the park during a night operation carried out by officers.The two men were immediately taken to the Kedoya Social Home to undergo coaching.
Satriadi said patrols in a number of dark parks were carried out mobile with an intensity that adjusted to the level of vulnerability.For vulnerable locations, he said, patrols are carried out every hour, while others are monitored every two hours.

A street vendor (PKL) in the area, Acong, said that similar activities in the park had been going on for a long time, but there had been no control by the authorities.
