Fadly Alberto Hengga still feels proud even though in the end the Garuda Muda team had to be eliminated in the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
The U-17 Indonesian National Team’s progress has certainly stopped in the group phase after finishing in third place in Group H with a score of three points.
One of the key players in the Indonesian U-17 National Team, Fadly Alberto Hengga, expressed his pride, even though the Garuda Muda team had to stop in the group phase of the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

“Playing in the U-17 World Cup is what we all want. From the beginning this team was created, we have dreamed of playing in the World Cup, but getting there is not easy, there are lots of trials and problems in the team,” said Alberto, quoted from his personal Instagram on Wednesday (12/11).
Alberto also explained the process of the team being formed from training, evaluation and trials.
“Every practice we evaluate, after every trial, we evaluate continuously until we can qualify for the AFC in Kuwait. Then we look at the AFC in Saudi Arabia. In the first match, we just want to win against South Korea with focus for 90 minutes without stopping. In the end, we can win by miraculously getting a penalty at the end of the minute,” said Alberto.
“After that we had to lose to North Korea in the top 8 but we didn’t give up because we had a very big competition, namely the U-17 World Cup in Qatar and thank God we learned a lot from every match that it turned out like this against a country” with high pressing and thank God again we made history where we won the U-17 World Cup.
Then, Alberto revealed a message from the Indonesian U-17 National Team coach, Nova Arianto.
“Coach Nova once said that football is a mystery, we never know what will happen on the field,” said Alberto.
During their appearance at the 2025 U-17 World Cup, the U-17 Indonesian National Team won three points in the three matches played in Group H.
Indonesia’s only victory was recorded after beating Honduras 2-1 in the final match of Group H.
In the first match Indonesia lost 1-3 to Zambia.Then the team coached by Nova Arianto was beaten by Brazil 0-4.
Even though they were eliminated from the 2025 U-17 World Cup, the U-17 Indonesian National Team made history by winning their first victory in the U-17 World Cup tournament.
