This was conveyed after the plan regarding the Pajajaran Express Train was agreed upon by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) together with the Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi alias KDM.
It is estimated that this transportation will cut the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung to just 1.5 hours.
The ‘Kilat Pajajaran’ train is a transportation route from Gambir Station, Jakarta to Bandung City with a required investment project value of IDR 8 trillion.

In fact, KDM is also optimistic that travel time can be shortened back to one hour, although it requires further study.
The President Director of PT KAI said that studies for the Kilat Pajajaran train project would begin in early 2026.
KDM also said that the West Java Provincial Government has prepared a financing plan that will be channeled through the West Java Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) worth IDR 2 trillion per year, starting from 2027 to 2030.
This means that the construction time for this project is predicted to be 4 years.
Not only to Bandung, the Kilat Pajajaran train is also planned to connect to Banjar City via Garut and Tasikmalaya, which is targeted to require a travel time of only three hours.
“The Pajajaran Express Train will cut travel time relatively quickly, Gambir-Bandung to around one and a half hours,” said Dedi in a statement in Bandung, Wednesday (26/11).
“In fact, this service is planned to connect to Garut, Tasikmalaya and Banjar with a travel time of around two hours via Bandung,” he said.
