Muzakir Manaf alias Mualem officially extended the Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Status
flood
and landslides in Aceh for 14 days from 12 to 25 December 2025.
This decision was taken because disaster management still requires intensive, integrated and coordinated efforts, starting from evacuation, logistics distribution, to repairing roads, bridges and public service facilities.
Mualem conveyed this determination in Meuligoe, the Governor of Aceh, Wednesday (10/12) evening.

“We have surveyed the field. We need an extension for another 2 weeks for rehabilitation and infrastructure, so we need to extend it,” said Mualem.
Mualem admitted that in the last two weeks his party had struggled to meet the logistics of more than 817 thousand refugees.Although to this day it is still not enough.
“Yes, in principle, we will try as much as possible. We have prepared, we are lacking, but we will fix this and fulfill this, including the need for clean water,” he said.
Mualem also asked related parties to speed up the distribution of fuel and gas in locations that are currently still isolated such as Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, East Aceh and parts of Aceh Tamiang and North Aceh.
“There’s not enough fuel there, but we’re rushing to open access,” he said.
From temporary data on Wednesday (10/12), the landslide flood disaster that hit Aceh in the last two weeks caused 407 people to die, 31 missing and 3,845 injured.
The disaster also damaged 258 offices, 207 places of worship, 266 schools, 15 Islamic boarding schools, 132 hospitals and health centers, 461 roads, 332 bridges and 157,318 residential units.
