This determination saw the development of the disaster in Aceh which was getting worse and causing infrastructure such as provincial roads and bridges connecting between regions to collapse.

“I am the Governor of Aceh enacting the decision of the Governor of Aceh regarding the determination of the emergency response status for hydrometeorological disasters in Aceh in 2025,” said Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf alias Mualem after holding a plenary meeting at the Aceh DPR, Thursday (27/11).
The determination of the disaster emergency response status will last for 14 days from November 28 to December 11 2025.
“The Aceh government through the relevant SKPA has provided assistance in handling the disaster,” he said.
It is known that almost all city districts in Aceh were hit by floods and landslides which affected 97,384 people, while 13,174 of them were displaced because their houses were submerged in water.
Likewise, road and bridge infrastructure from the east coast of Aceh to Medan, North Sumatra was cut off.
