Mualem said that currently the refugees also need medicine because some of the refugees are starting to suffer from skin diseases, itching, acute respiratory infections and even fever.
“I think this is what requires the most medicines. Especially now that our society has been affected,” he said.
Previously, Mualem gave the green light for foreign aid to enter Aceh to help flood and landslide victims.
Mualem also doesn’t mind if his intention is to help.
“I don’t think there is a prohibition. It’s fine, there’s no problem,” said Mualem after a meeting to speed up disaster management in Sumatra which was held at Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base, Aceh Besar on Sunday (7/12).
He said that he assured that volunteers or foreign aid entering Aceh would not be made difficult.
“They help us, why do we make it difficult?” he said.
