The Palestinian Journalist Protection Center said on Sunday (30/11) that the journalist had experienced mental and unstable psychological trauma for more than three months due to the attack.

The organization said this treatment was one of the serious crimes committed against journalists in Israeli prisons.
According to the organization’s statement, the incident occurred at the Sde Teiman detention center, where a journalist and seven other people were taken to a remote area inside the camp.

Some of them filmed the attack and insulted the victims.
All prisoners were handcuffed and blindfolded.They are given absolutely no legal or humanitarian protection.
The journalist under the pseudonym ‘Yahya’ said the attack lasted about three minutes, followed by severe psychological damage leaving him unable to concentrate or function normally for more than two months.
Doctors and human rights activists who reviewed his testimony said the symptoms were consistent with acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
‘Yahya’ who served 20 months in Israeli prisons, including three months in Sde Teiman and one month in Ofer, said the attack was not an isolated incident.
The attacks were part of a broader and systematic torture policy aimed at destroying detainees psychologically and physically.
He also exposed the use of trained dogs as direct instruments of torture, which clearly violates international conventions prohibiting torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.
