The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded that a total of 303 people died and 279 people were still reported missing due to flash floods and landslides on Sumatra Island.
This number is based on data collected by BNPB as of Saturday (29/11) at 17.49 WIB.
In detail, in Aceh it was reported that 51 people were still missing, in North Sumatra (Sumut) it was recorded that 143 people were still missing and in West Sumatra (Sumbar) there were 85 people still missing.

A total of 303 victims died spread across Aceh a total of 47 victims died and eight victims were injured.Most of the victims came from Bener Meriah, Southeast Aceh and Central Aceh.
Then in North Sumatra it was reported that 166 people died.The biggest impact occurred in Central Tapanuli Regency, South Tapanuli and Sibolga City.
Meanwhile in West Sumatra there were 90 deaths and 10 injuries.Most of the victims came from the Agam Regency area.
Still based on BNPB data, a total of 354 sub-districts in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra were affected by flash floods and landslides.In detail, 166 sub-districts in Aceh, 99 sub-districts in North Sumatra and 89 sub-districts in West Sumatra.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has ordered all levels to quickly deal with floods and landslides that hit a number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
Prabowo emphasized that since the first day the disaster occurred, he had ordered all relevant levels to take emergency steps.Starting from evacuation, distribution of aid, to recovery of affected areas.
“We have dispatched three Hercules C130 aircraft and one A400 aircraft. For the umpteenth time we are sending aid. The government is moving quickly, from the first days it has reacted, has sent aid, by land and air, and continuously we are supporting their needs in the field,” said Prabowo in a post on Instagram on Saturday (29/11).
