The results of this study have also been submitted to ASDP as the entity requesting a review from BPKP in 2022.
The BPKP review is said to be ASDP material for improving or strengthening governance, risk and control (GRC) in the acquisition process.
“Referring to BPKP internal regulations and the 2021 Indonesian Government Internal Audit Standards (SAIPI), the implementation of supervision by BPKP is carried out at the request of client entities, partners or auditees,” he explained.
Gunawan explained that all supervisory products, including reports, recommendations and other forms of communication are part of the working relationship between BPKP and these entities.
“Therefore, the results of the supervision are only conveyed to the requesting entity and not addressed to other parties,” said Gunawan.
Although, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) did ask BPKP to calculate state financial losses in the case of the acquisition of PT JN by PT ASDP.The request was made in 2024.
“However, in the end the KPK calculated state financial losses using the KPK’s internal forensic accountant team,” he said.
The KPK previously claimed that the start of the investigation into the alleged ASDP corruption case began with the BPKP auditor’s report. This claim has now been denied by BPKP as the government’s internal auditor.
