The debate regarding article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Code regarding the relationship between advocates and alleged witnesses cannot be avoided between the Chair of the DPN Advisory Council Peradi Juniver Girsang, constitutional law expert Fery Amsari, Deputy Chair for Advocacy at YLBHI Arif Maulana, and Member of Commission III DPR RI Soedeson Tandra.Article 150 discusses the authority of advocates in accompanying defendants and witnesses.However, Fery and Arif stated that the article does not explain the rights of suspects or witnesses, moreover there is a gap where the suspect can choose not to use legal assistance.
