Katib Syuriyah PWNU DKI Jakarta Lukman Hakim Hamid said the decision was based on the results of the daily meeting of Syuriah and Tanfidziyah PWNU DKI on Sunday (23/11).
“Responding to the internal conditions of PBNU, PWNU DKI Jakarta, in order to maintain the dignity of the organization, is not in a position to judge, assess and/or participate in justifying and/or blaming what is happening within PBNU,” said Lukman.

With this decision, Lukman therefore said that his party would not take any steps or actions regarding the chaos.PWNU DKI, he said, would hand over the matter completely to PBNU.
According to Lukman, PWNU DKI will continue to run the organization according to its duties and authority.
“PWNU DKI Jakarta will continue to carry out association activities in accordance with its duties, authority and scope in order to maintain

Even so, Lukman hopes that Mustasyar and the ulama will act as mediators in this matter.For this reason, PWNU DKI claims to be ready to host.

The PBNU Syuriyah Daily Meeting on November 20 2025 asked Gus Yahya to resign from his position.The document resulting from the meeting was signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar.

PBNU Syuriyah views the presence of International Zionism in AKN NU as a resource for NU’s highest level cadre formation, as having violated the values and teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah An Nahdliyah and contradicting the Muqaddimah of NU’s Basic Qanun.
Meanwhile, Gus Yahya has emphasized that he will not resign from his position as General Chair.He said that the daily Syariah meeting was binding on all Syariah ranks, not for administrators outside Syariah ranks.Therefore, according to him, the minutes of the Syariah meeting could not be executed.
“Syariah daily meetings do not have legal standing, because daily syariah meetings have no right, no right to dismiss mandataries, that is the problem,” said Yahya after the Alim Ulama Gathering at the PBNU Office, Sunday (23/11).
