said the seeping embankment at Mutiara Beach, North Jakarta, would be repaired.
Rano admitted that he would check directly to see the level of seepage in the embankment.
“That’s why I’m going to visit. Yes, of course the solution must be improved. We just have to see what the level of seepage is,” said Rano in West Jakarta, Tuesday (25/11).

Previously, in a video circulating on social media, sea water seepage could be seen emerging from a gap in the embankment wall at Mutiara Beach on November 22.
“Until now, the visible seepage is still small, but residents are asking for immediate action to ensure the safety of the embankment and the surrounding environment,” quoted from the video upload.
Head of the Planning Subgroup for Rob Control and Coastal Development of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service, Alfan Widyastanto, said that his party had conducted a survey in the field.
The Department is also mapping other locations that have the potential for seepage and leaks.
“Mapping was also carried out on embankments on the coast which were indicated to have the potential to experience seepage or leaks,” said Affan when confirmed, Monday (24/11).
He explained that for the embankment at Mutiara Beach, the SDA Department is currently carrying out the planning stage with the embankment elevation being higher than the current embankment condition.
“It is hoped that the work implementation target can be realized as quickly as possible and in accordance with existing procedures,” he said.
