Good and bad news came simultaneously to the Vietnam U-23 national team ahead of
SEA Games 2025
in Thailand.
The good news is that three Cong An Ha Noi FC players were released to the Vietnam U-23 training camp.After one player was released earlier, now two players have also been released.
Initially only Pham Ly Duc was released.After that, it was Pham Minh Phuc and Nguyen Dinh Bac’s turn to be released.Coach Mano Polking said this was for the good of Vietnam at the 2025 SEA Games.

Actually, this is not an easy decision.The reason is that Cong An Ha Noi FC will have a busy schedule from the end of November to the beginning of December.
In the middle of this week they will face the Chinese team, Beijing Guoan, in the continuation of the Asia Champions League Two.Then they faced Buriram United in the ASEAN Club Championship.
Losing three talented young players, who have been core players, is not an easy decision.However, Polking gave it up so that Vietnam U-23 appeared impressive from the first match.
The bad news is that Vietnam’s attacking midfielder, Nguyen Van Truong, is confirmed to be absent from the 2025 SEA Games. He suffered an injury against Korea U-23 in the 2025 Panda Cup.
Currently Vietnam is conducting a training camp towards the 2025 SEA Games. A total of 28 players have been called up.Later seven players will be dropped before departure.
