(AGO) admitted that he had searched a number of places, including the homes of tax officials, in connection with a payment corruption case

Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, said that this case was related to the reduction in tax payment obligations for companies and individual taxpayers.

“It is true that there was legal action in the form of searches in several places related to alleged criminal acts of corruption reducing the tax payment obligations of companies/taxpayers for 2016-2020,” he said when confirmed, Monday (17/11).
However, Anang did not provide further details regarding the chronology of the case.He only revealed that this case was related to tax officials at the Tax Directorate at the Ministry of Finance.
“[Allegedly] by individuals or tax officials at the tax directorate of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
On the other hand, Anang said that this case had also been raised to the investigation stage.This means that investigators are currently collecting evidence to strengthen criminal allegations in this tax case.
“Yes [investigation],” he concluded.
There is no detailed information regarding the time of the search and the houses of the officials searched.
