Two European countries secured a place in
2026 World Cup
and add to the list of teams that have officially qualified for next year’s world football festival.The following is a list of national teams that have qualified for

Portugal became the 31st country to confirm their ticket to the 2026 World Cup. The 9-1 victory over Armenia made Selecao das Quinas the winner of Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
After Portugal, Norway follows.Erling Haaland and his friends beat Italy 4-1 in the last match and at the same time confirmed their position as leaders of Group I.

By emerging as group winners, Portugal and Norway followed 30 other countries that were confirmed to appear in the 23rd World Cup.
For the European region, previously England, France and Croatia had qualified first.
There are still 11 tickets allocated for European countries with seven direct tickets for the remaining group winners and four tickets via the playoff route.
Apart from the five European countries, up to now there are eight Asian countries, nine African countries, six South American countries, one Oceanian country and three hosts who have a guarantee of appearing at the 2026 World Cup.
Canada, Mexico and the United States are hosting.Meanwhile, the first country to qualify through the qualification route is Japan on March 20 2025.
With 32 national teams qualifying, there are still 16 tickets up for grabs.Eleven tickets are still being contested by countries in the UEFA region, three tickets are in the CONCACAF region, and there are two more tickets through the intercontinental playoffs.
