Responding to this, the Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang, Pilar Saga Ichsan, said that the city government and related agencies were coordinating to investigate the alleged bullying that led to death.
Pilar said that currently the South Tangerang Education and Culture Service is coordinating with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), as well as the South Tangerang Police to investigate this investigation.

“South Tangerang Police are currently conducting further investigation into this problem,” said Pilar as he accompanied the victim’s body to the grave, Sunday (16/11).
On that occasion, Pilar said that the South Tangerang City Government was also saddened by the death of the victim.”We from the South Tangerang City Government express our condolences, hopefully the deceased will be given a light in the grave, and all worship will be accepted by Allah. We express our condolences to the families left behind,” said Pilar.
Apart from that, he explained that the Department of Education and Culture had conducted outreach to every school principal, committee, and education council to discuss the anti-
bullying
in each educational unit.
“Regarding how the school will no longer experience bullying against female students at school, we are working on it,” explained Pilar.
Previously, the victim’s family said that while MH was undergoing treatment at the Fatmawati General Hospital, South Jakarta, he was already in a coma.For a week until his death, the victim was placed in the ICU at Fatmawati Hospital.
“My younger cousin died while still in the ICU when he was admitted to Fatmawati Hospital on Friday last week. Previously he was treated at Colombus BSD Hospital. Even the doctor himself can’t say that, because his younger cousin is still in a coma,” said the victim’s older cousin, Rizky Fauzi, Sunday.
Rizky said that currently the family has not reported this incident to the police, because they are still dealing with the victim’s death.
“What I heard is that KPAI wants to impose sanctions on the school. The family hasn’t reported it yet, because we are focused on this (grief),” said Rizky.
Meanwhile, South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Victor Inkiriwang said that his party had examined a number of witnesses to investigate the alleged bullying.
“We have carried out an investigation, we will also examine witnesses, we have examined four witnesses, and there has also been assistance from experts from the South Tangerang City PPA UPTD, where we will see whether there has been a criminal act involved,” said Victor, Sunday.
He explained that in the investigation process, his party was still waiting for the victim’s family to be ready to be questioned.
Victor said that his party had visited the victim and his family three times while he was still undergoing treatment for the injuries he suffered.
“Then we will also investigate whether the illness suffered by the victim, it is suspected that this victim is related to the alleged crime,” he said.
MH, a seventh grade student at SMPN 19 Ciater Serpong, a resident of Maruga village RT 11/09, Ciater Village, Serpong District, South Tangerang, Banten is suspected of being a victim of bullying by his classmates.
The incident occurred at SMPN 19 on October 20 2025 in the school room when it was break time.At that time, the victim was hit on the head with an iron bench.
After the incident, on Tuesday (21/10) the victim began to complain about the pain caused by the incident.When the family did an in-depth investigation, it turned out that the victim admitted that he had often received it
bullying
from being hit to being kicked.
After this incident, the victim was treated at a private hospital in South Tangerang City.Because his condition was getting worse, his younger brother was referred to Fatmawati General Hospital.
However, after a week of treatment at Fatmawati Hospital, the victim was finally declared dead.
“At six in the morning the family at home received news from the victim’s uncle who was in hospital,” said the family’s attorney, Alvian Adji Nugroho when contacted by telephone on Sunday morning.
