One victim
landslide
in Cibeunying Village, Regency

On Scene Coordinator (OSC) of the Cilacap SAR Office, Priyo Prayudha Utama, said that the victim, Yuni, was found dead at 10.43 WIB during a search operation at the landslide location.
Before Yuni’s body was evacuated from the discovery location, he said, the joint SAR team first removed the landslide material which covered quite a lot of the victim’s body.

“The victim was successfully evacuated at 10.56 WIB and immediately taken to Majenang Regional Hospital,” he said in Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap, Friday (14/11).
He said the search process was carried out by a joint SAR team involving various elements, starting from the Cilacap Regency BPBD, Basarnas Cilacap SAR Office, TNI, Polri, volunteers, to the surrounding community, while still prioritizing the safety of personnel in the field.
According to him, Worksite B-1 where Yuni’s body was found is part of the Tarukuhan Hamlet village, Cibeunying Village.
The landslide disaster occurred on Thursday (13/11) at around 19.00 WIB.Landslides buried a number of residents’ houses in Tarukahan Hamlet and Cibuyut Hamlet, Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap.
Based on temporary data collection after the incident, the total number of victims reached 46 people, consisting of 23 survivors, two died, and 21 people were reported missing.
With the discovery of one body, 3 landslide victims died, 20 people are still being searched for.
In this regard, a joint SAR team was deployed at points where it was estimated that there would be buried victims, namely Worksite A-1 with three people in search, A-2 with seven people, A-3 with four people, B-1 with four people and B-2 with three people.
“With this latest finding, updated data shows that a total of 20 people are still being searched for, consisting of seven residents of Tarukuhan Hamlet and 13 residents of Cibuyut Hamlet,” said Priyo.
