This was conveyed by the GNB in ​​a joint audience with the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission at PTIK, National Police Headquarters, on Thursday (13/11).
“We noted a lot of input, among the many inputs that we noted as important, was how to secure the police from outside political and business intervention,” said Chairman of the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission, Jimly Asshidiqie, at a press conference.

Jimly said the input submitted by NAM was very important to build public trust and strengthen the National Police in the future.
He explained that the input submitted by the NAM would be reviewed by the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission so that it could formulate policies that could be presented to both President Prabowo Subianto and the National Police itself.
“Later, we will use this input as material. Basically, in the first month, we will look at the problems first. In the second month, we will formulate policy options that are realistic and possible, ideal but realistic,” he said.
“In the third month, we will formulate what is called a policy report for the President to make a decision. We will recommend matters that are internal to the National Police to the National Police internally through the National Police Chief,” he added.
The National Conscience Movement was led by Nyai Sinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid, M. Quraish Shihab, KH.Ahmad Mustofa Bisri, Mgr.Ignatius Cardinal Suharyo, Omi Komariah Nurcholish Madjid, Franz Magnis-Suseno SJ, Amin Abdullah, Bhikkhu Pannyavaro Mahathera, Alissa Wahid, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Karlina Rohima Supelli.

NAM met and had a dialogue with President Prabowo Subianto, last September 11. The meeting, which lasted for around three hours, discussed various aspirations and demands, starting from the formation of an investigative team to investigate the demonstration in August to aspirations for the president to carry out reforms within the National Police.
