).
Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, said that the examination of 20 witnesses was carried out by the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes after increasing the status of the case in October 2025.

However, Anang has not explained the figures of the dozens of witnesses who were questioned. He only said that investigators were still investigating this case.
On the other hand, Anang emphasized that the period for investigating corruption carried out by the Adhyaksa Corps in this case was different from that of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The reason is, the period for the KPK to investigate the Petral case is 2019-2025.Meanwhile, AGO investigators carried out investigations in the 2008-2015 period.
“The Roundhouse handles the 2008-2015 period, not 2017. And this is a development of a case that is already underway in court,” he said.
Previously, the Attorney General admitted that he was investigating a case of alleged corruption in the management of crude oil and finished oil refinery products at Pertamina Energy Trading Limited or Petral.
This case has been upgraded to the investigation stage since October 2025. However, the Attorney General’s Office has not named a suspect or announced the amount of state financial losses in this case.
