) Father Muhammad Syafi’i said that his party had issued a decree (SK) to regulate child-friendly Islamic education.
According to Syafi’i, this provision was discussed and agreed upon at a meeting at Commission VIII, Tuesday (12/11).

Through this decree, he encouraged students in madrasas and Islamic boarding schools not to become victims of violence.
“Earlier it was also concluded that there was a decree from the Director General of Education regarding child-friendly madrasas and Islamic boarding schools,” said Syafi’i after the meeting at the parliament complex, Jakarta,.
“The point is that madrasah children and Islamic boarding school children can fulfill their rights as students, and stay away from acts of violence that they should not receive,” added the Gerindra politician.
He did not deny the practice of violence against children which still occurs in Islamic educational institutions today.However, Shafi’i said he agreed that the practice should be eliminated.
“Of course, these cases may still exist, yes, but we agreed that in the future supervision will be increased so that these incidents can be avoided,” he said.
According to Syafi’i, the issuance of the decree is a form of evaluation and monitoring effort.He hopes that the cases that have occurred so far will not happen again.
“I think I agree with the public opinion and this must stop,” he said.
