According to Nani, the tough culture that Sir Alex Ferguson used to apply at Old Trafford is very different from the conditions seen now, especially regarding the attitude of young players.According to him, in the past Cristiano Ronaldo was not immune from punishment from Ferguson.

Nani emphasized that in the Ferguson era, every player was obliged to obey the club’s rules without exception, no matter how big their name was.

“It actually happened to me during one of my first weeks. I played one fantastic game and then I didn’t play for a few weeks. I was complaining, talking to Cristiano, saying ‘hey, I don’t know why I’m not playing’,” said Nani.
According to Nani, this decision was not without reason.There are things behind the scenes that he must improve as a professional player.
“I knew there was something behind the scenes that they wanted me to improve, and when I knew what it was, I dealt with it, worked hard. These players need the same thing; discipline and rules,” said Nani.
