) reveals a list of fields

highest in Indonesia.Based on the latest data, there are nine business sectors with average monthly wages above the national labor wage.
In the Official News Statistics (BRS) on the Condition of Indonesian Employment for August 2025, BPS recorded that the average wage or salary for workers, employees and employees nationally reached IDR 3.33 million per month.
This figure comes from the results of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) August 2025.

BPS said that if we look at it based on business field, the Information and Communication sector is the one that offers the highest wages.
“If we look at the business field, workers in the Information and Communication business field earn the highest wages of IDR 5.28 million,” BPS wrote in its report.
On the other hand, the sector with the lowest wages was recorded in the Other Service Activities business field, with an average salary of IDR 1.97 million per month.
Apart from being based on sector, BPS also displays differences in workers’ wages based on gender.In general, wages for male workers are recorded to be higher than for women.
The average salary for male workers reaches IDR 3.59 million, while female workers reach IDR 2.86 million per month.
The nine jobs with the highest average salaries in Indonesia according to BPS data are as follows:
1. Information and Communication: IDR 5.28 million
2. Finance and Insurance Activities: IDR 5.12 million
3. Procurement of Electricity, Gas, Steam/Hot Water and Cold Air: IDR 5.07 million
4. Mining and Quarrying: IDR 4.98 million
5. Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security: IDR 4.43 million
6. Real Estate: IDR 4.40 million
7. Professional and Corporate Activities: IDR 4.26 million
8. Transportation and Warehousing: IDR 4.09 million
9. Human Health Activities and Social Activities: IDR 3.75 million
