The FIFA ranking of ASEAN countries as of December 22 includes Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
FIFA officially released the latest ranking as of Monday, December 22 2025. Based on the latest FIFA update, the Indonesian National Team’s position remains in its previous position, namely 122.
Indonesia’s position has not changed because it did not play matches during the November to December period.Indonesia is now in fourth place in the FIFA ranking of ASEAN countries.

Meanwhile, the ASEAN country with the best FIFA ranking is currently still occupied by Thailand.Although, Thailand experienced a decrease in one ranking from 95th to 96th position.
Then the second best ASEAN team is Vietnam, which is now in 107th position in the FIFA rankings.
Vietnam is the country with the highest increase in the current FIFA ranking, namely with an increase of three levels from 110 to 107.
Meanwhile, the third best ASEAN country in the FIFA rankings is currently occupied by Malaysia, which is in 121st position.
Malaysia itself experienced a drastic decline from 116th position to 121st.The Harimau Malaya team is the team that experienced the worst decline among other countries.
This decline cannot be separated from the influence of FIFA’s punishment against Malaysia for playing invalid players in three international test matches.
Malaysia was declared to have lost 0-3 in three international matches against Cape Verde which previously ended 1-1 on May 29, Singapore which previously ended 2-1 on September 4, and against Palestine with a 1-0 result on September 8.
Then the fifth ranked ASEAN team in the FIFA rankings is now occupied by the Philippines, which is in 136th position in the world.
