“On behalf of the government, I convey my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all affected residents,” he said.
“As well as profusely apologizing if there are still shortcomings in the post-disaster handling process,” he added.
Gibran ensured that the government would continue to accelerate and maximize disaster management in the field.Such as fulfilling basic needs, restoring infrastructure, to rehabilitation and reconstruction.

During the visit, Gibran also visited the GKPI Pearaja Tarutung Church to inspect the Christmas celebrations and greet the congregation.
He conveyed the greetings entrusted by President Prabowo Subianto to the entire congregation along with Christmas wishes and prayers for the community.
“Merry Christmas, may the peace of Christmas be with us all, bringing blessings to all fathers and mothers. May all fathers and mothers always be healthy and live long,” he said.
Gibran then invited the congregation to pray for people who were affected by natural disasters.He hopes that the spirit of Christmas can be a strength and comfort for those who are facing trials.
“Let’s not forget to pray for our brothers and sisters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, hopefully this disaster will end quickly and the families of the victims can all recover quickly,” he said.
On the same occasion, Gibran emphasized that the government is fully committed to guaranteeing freedom of worship for all citizens and maintaining security and order at every religious celebration.
“I also hope that this year’s Christmas celebration can strengthen national solidarity and interfaith brotherhood,” he concluded.
