Recently, the National Police Regulation (Perpol) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2025 which regulates the placement of active members in civil positions has sparked controversy.
The regulations stipulate that there are 17 ministries/institutions that can be filled by active police officers.
“The National Police Chief’s Regulation is of course limited in scope to the National Police Chief’s internal scope. But because this concerns ministries and institutions and implementing the provisions in the ASN Law and the Police Law, it must be regulated in the form of a Government Regulation,” said Yusril at a press conference, Jakarta, Saturday (20/12).
Yusril said that the PP was an implementation regulated in the National Police Law and the ASN Law.
“And to find a solution to resolve this problem, with the approval of the President, it will be formulated in the form of a Government Regulation. Because it can cover all agencies, ministries, institutions regulated by Government Regulations,” he said.
Political Regulation No. 10 of 2025 has recently sparked polemic among society.
This regulation was signed by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on December 9, there are 17 ministries/institutions that can be filled with active police officers.
Article 3 of the regulation states that the implementation of the duties of National Police Members in positions within the ministry/institution/agency/commission;and International Organizations or foreign country representative offices domiciled in Indonesia.
The duties of National Police Members in ministries/agencies/agencies/commissions can be carried out in the Coordinating Ministry for Politics and Security, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Ministry of Forestry.
Then the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, National Resilience Institute, Financial Services Authority, Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis.
Apart from that, there are also the National Narcotics Agency, the National Counter-Terrorism Agency, the State Intelligence Agency, the National Crypto Cyber ​​Agency, and the Corruption Eradication Commission.
