The military news site South American Defense also reported a similar incident.
“Flight of 2x EA-18G, 2x F/A-18E, and an E-2D from USS Gerald R Ford (CVN-78) off the coast of #Venezuela,” they wrote on X’s social media.
The Boeing F/A-18 E Super Hornet is a twin-engine, supersonic, multi-role carrier-based attack aircraft that is a derivative of the original Hornet.
The aircraft replaced the F-14 Tomcat in the United States Navy.
The Boeing F/A-18 E Super Hornet is also capable of air-to-air combat, ground attack, reconnaissance and electronic warfare.
Since September, the US has launched air strikes on ships off the Venezuelan coast and in Caribbean waters.

United States President Donald Trump said the operation was necessary to fight drug trafficking.

Maduro also emphasized that the Venezuelan military is on high alert if at any time there is an intensive attack from the United States.
