The Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team managed to qualify for the final
SEA Games 2025
after a dramatic win over Vietnam with a 0-2 deficit.Coach Jeff Jian Jie also revealed the secret behind this.
Indonesia was really under pressure when it faced Vietnam in the men’s volleyball semifinal match at the 2025 SEA Games, Thursday (18/12).Indonesia lost 21-25, 20-25 in the first two sets but then managed to recover and win 25-22, 25-19, 15-10 in the next three sets.
In Jeff Jian Jie’s view, the Indonesia vs Vietnam match presents a high level duel between the two teams.

“This was a very good match (against Vietnam). I am very proud of all the players.”
“From the start, we have prepared a game plan and the players tried to carry it out well,” said Jeff Jian Jie, quoted by Antara.
In the condition of being behind in the first two sets, Jeff Jian Jie then asked the players to instill greater self-confidence.This is what later became the key to Indonesia’s success in recording a revival.
“I just ask them to restore their fighting spirit, play with confidence and believe in their own abilities. Confidence is the most important thing,” said Jeff Jian Jie.
Behind this victory, Jeff Jian Jie also admitted that there were many young players in the Indonesian National Volleyball Team who still had minimal playing time at a high level.Therefore, the match against Vietnam in the semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games will be good preparation for them.
“Our players are still young, and for many of them this is their first semifinal. They need time to develop and gain experience,” said Jeff Jian Jie.
