) confiscated documentary evidence and even cash when searching the official residence of the Acting Officer (Plt)

This evidence is suspected to be related to the case of alleged extortion and/or receiving gratuities from Riau Governor Abdul Wahid and his friends which is currently being investigated.
“In today’s search, investigators secured several documents related to the case, namely alleged acts of extortion related to the addition of the budget at the PUPR Service where the UPT received an additional budget and then the governor as regional head asked for a share of around 15-20 percent of the budgets that would be used,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo at his office, Jakarta, Monday (15/12) afternoon.

Apart from that, investigators also confiscated cash in rupiah and Singapore dollar denominations which are currently being counted.
“Investigators also confiscated a sum of money in the private house of the deputy governor or who currently serves as acting governor,” said Budi.
“It’s being counted. This has just been discovered and secured by the team,” he added.
Budi explained that investigators would summon witnesses including SF Hariyanto to confirm the findings of the evidence.
“Of course investigators will confirm their findings with the relevant parties, both the suspects and the owner who was secured by the deputy governor,” said Budi.
Prior to this, on 10-12 November 2025, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had already searched the Riau Governor’s Office, the Office of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement and Land Areas (PUPR PKPP), the Office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and several houses whose owners were not disclosed.
The Education Service office was also searched on November 13 2025.
From all these places, investigators confiscated a number of documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE) related to shifts in the Riau Provincial Government’s budget.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid, Dani M Nursalam as Abdul Wahid’s Expert, and the Head of the PUPR PKPP Service for Riau Province M. Arief Setiawan as suspects in a case of alleged extortion and/or receiving gratuities.
Abdul Wahid et al have been detained at the KPK State Detention Center (Rutan).
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12 letter f and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor)
