Indonesia wins its 50th gold medal in
SEA Games 2025

became the winner in the men’s 79kg weightlifting event, Monday (15/12).
Competing at Chonburi Sports School, Chonburi, Indonesia’s top lifter was unrivaled after lifting a total of 365 kilograms.
Rizki started his struggle fantastically after successfully performing a 160kg snatch lift perfectly.

The athlete, who was recently inaugurated as an officer in the National Army (TNI) Navy (AL), then continued his dominance by completing a clean and jerk weighing 205kg.
Rizki’s total lift was not overtaken by his closest competitor, Muhammad Erry Hidayat, who recorded a total lift of 336kg (snatch 149kg and clean and jerk 187kg).Erry also had the right to bring home a silver medal.
Meanwhile, the bronze belonged to the host athlete, Natthawut Suepsuan.The lifter from Thailand recorded a total lift of 335kg (snatch 155kg and clean and jerk 180kg).
This gold medal is special because Rizki also managed to break the world record after successfully carrying out a 205kg C&J lift at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.
