“The landslide material caused residents’ yards to be carried away by landslides, so that residents’ houses were threatened with collapsing,” he said.
As a handling step, said Gusti, his party has coordinated with the West Sulawesi BPBD, TNI, Polri, related agencies, as well as sub-district and village authorities to carry out emergency handling and follow-up monitoring of potential subsequent disasters, including the threat of flooding.
“Based on initial reports, there were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the incident,” he said.
The current condition, said Gusti, is that residents’ houses around the landslide location are still in danger of collapsing due to yards being carried away by the landslide current, so intensive vigilance and monitoring is needed.
