fully supports the police investigation process regarding the incident of the car transporting free nutritious meals (
MBG
) which hit a number of teachers and students at SD Negeri Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta on Thursday (11/12).
This is to prevent similar unfortunate events from recurring.
“We will also cooperate fully with the police in the investigation process to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again,” said Dadan in a written statement.

Dadan admitted that he was concerned about expressing deep condolences over this tragedy.
“We express our deepest condolences for the tragic incident that befell the students and teachers at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta. This incident is a very shocking disaster,” said Dadan.
BGN also confirmed that it would cover all the costs of treating elementary school students and teachers who were victims.
Deputy Head of BGN for Operations for Nutrition Fulfillment, Sony Sonjaya, said that treatment costs are covered as a form of responsibility.
“The costs of treating all victims are borne by us (BGN), and they are all placed in Class 1 (RSUD),” said Sony in the same statement.
He also ensured that all injured students and teachers received optimal medical services.Coordination with various parties was carried out as quickly as possible.
“I have been at the location to ensure that all treatment is carried out quickly. We are coordinating with the school, police and health facilities so that all victims receive maximum treatment,” he said.
Furthermore, Sony said, this incident did not hamper the operations or services of the MBG Program in the field.All distribution and services to beneficiaries continue to run.
Apart from that, BGN has also carried out a thorough evaluation of the program implementation procedures and mechanisms to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.This evaluation starts from field coordination, distribution SOPs, to daily operational supervision.
“Internally, BGN conducted an internal evaluation to prevent a recurrence of the incident. This incident did not hamper MBG’s operations and services,” he said.
This unfortunate incident occurred when the teachers were preparing a line of students for reading literacy activities in the school yard at around 06.38 WIB.
The car bearing the BGN logo which was tasked with distributing food packages to the school, suddenly drove out of control and hit a fence, students and teachers.
