Financial Services Authority (
FSA
) officially provides special treatment for credit or financing for disaster victims
flood
and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
This policy was determined at the OJK Board of Commissioners Meeting and is valid for a period of up to three years starting December 10 2025.
The granting of relief refers to OJK Regulation (POJK) Number 19 of 2022 concerning Special Treatment for Financial Services Institutions in Certain Regions and Sectors in Indonesia Affected by Disasters (POJK Disaster).

This policy is determined through data collection in disaster areas and assessments that show disasters affect the economy there.This causes debtors to experience payment problems.
“The provision of special treatment is carried out as part of risk mitigation so that disasters do not have a systemic impact, as well as to support the accelerated recovery of regional economic activities,” explained OJK in an official statement, Thursday (11/12).
The procedures for special treatment include credit or financing from banks, financing institutions, venture capital companies, microfinance institutions and other financial services institutions (PVML).
Special treatment for credit or financing to debtors, including several points.
First
, assessment of credit or financing quality based on payment accuracy (one pillar) for a ceiling of up to IDR 10 billion.
Second,
determining the current quality of restructured credit or financing with financing distributed both before and after the debtor is affected by a disaster.For Information Technology-Based Joint Funding Service Providers, restructuring can be carried out after obtaining approval from the funder.
Third,
providing new financing to affected debtors by determining credit quality separately for new credit, financing or other funding provisions (not implementing one obligor).
Furthermore, OJK also asked all insurance and reinsurance companies to move quickly.In this case, the insurance industry is asked to immediately activate the disaster response mechanism.
Then, insurers were also instructed to simplify the claims process, map affected policies, carry out a disaster recovery plan if necessary, strengthen communication and services to customers, coordinate with BNPB, BPBD and reinsurers, and report claims handling progress periodically to the OJK.
