Both of them canceled their appointment as commissioners at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS), after they failed to undergo the Fit and Proper Test at the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Not only Helmy and Mardigu, Bank BJB also canceled the appointment of Joko Hartono Kalisman as the company’s compliance director.

“The 2025 EGMS stipulated two main decisions, namely approving the cancellation of the appointment of the Independent President Commissioner, Independent Commissioner and Compliance Director which had previously been determined,” read Bank BJB’s official statement, Tuesday (9/12).
The second decision at the EGMS was to approve the dismissal of the company’s main director, Yusuf Saadudin, who died in mid-November.
Bank BJB said that this decision was the basis for making adjustments to the composition of the management, as well as carrying out administrative follow-up and reporting to regulators to ensure the continuity of the company’s governance and operations.
“The adjustments to the organizational structure carried out are a strategic step to ensure operational continuity and company stability.
“The company believes that shareholder support is an important foundation in maintaining the Company’s growth and transformation,” explained management.

Bank BJB previously appointed Helmy Yahya as independent commissioner and Mardigu as main commissioner.
Helmy Yahya and Mardigu were appointed by the Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi as representatives of the controlling shareholders of Bank BJB as commissioners at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which was held last April.
However, the two commissioner candidates did not pass the fit and proper test held by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Wowiek Prasantyo or known to netizens as Bossman Mardigu is a businessman who often makes controversial statements.Netizens know him as a conspiracy theorist.
In the business world, Mardigu also has a number of records.For example, when the OJK gave a warning to the company, PT Santara Daya Inspiratama (Santara) in 2022. The OJK prohibited the Mardigu company from offering securities and was investigated for alleged violations in the capital markets sector.
He also received a strong warning from Bank Indonesia and the OJK for creating the first cryptocurrency in Indonesia which was named “Cyronium”.At that time, BI and OJK had not yet given permission for all cryptocurrencies in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Helmy Yahya is a television host and actor.He served as Director of TVRI in 2017-2020.Currently, Helmy appears a lot through podcasts or podcasts on YouTube.
