The Indonesian contingent is ranked fourth in the medal standings
SEA Games 2025
after winning a silver medal in badminton, Wednesday (10/12).
Indonesia added to its medal tally today by winning a silver medal in badminton.
Badminton just contributed bronze for the women’s team event.In the final round which took place at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Indonesia lost 1-3 to hosts Thailand.

In the final, Indonesia took a 1-0 lead over Thailand through Putri Kusuma Wardani who beat Pornpawee Chochuwong 21-18, 13-21, 21-16.
Thailand then equalized the score at 1-1 through women’s doubles Benyapa Aimsaard/Supissara Paewsampran who beat Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum 21-18, 11-21, 21-18.
Thailand took the lead after Ratchanok Intanon beat Gregoria Mariska Tunjung 21-7, 21-15.
Indonesia finally had to settle for a silver medal in the women’s team badminton event after Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari lost to Ornnicha Jongsathapornparn/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat 19-21, 18-21 in the fourth match.
Previously, Indonesia won two silvers and one bronze.Indonesia won its first medal at the 2025 SEA Games through cyclist Rendy Varera who won silver in the men’s downhill mountain bike (MTB) event.
Rendy lost to host representative Boonsane Methasit who won gold.Meanwhile, bronze was won.
After Rendy, it was Riska Amelia Agustina’s turn to contribute the second medal for the Red and White Team.Riska won silver in the women’s downhill MTB number.
Hockey does not want to be left behind in presenting medals.The women’s National Hockey Team won bronze in the Hoki5s number after losing 2-7 to Thailand.
With three silvers and one bronze, Indonesia is now in fourth place in the 2025 SEA Games medal standings as of 14:50 WIB.
Indonesia is lagging behind host Thailand who is at the top of the 2025 SEA Games standings. Followed by Myanmar in second place and the Philippines in third place.
