A total of 2,155 joint personnel were deployed to secure the demonstration held by the All Indonesian Village Government Association (
Apdesi
) in the southern cross area of Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/12) today.
Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro said that thousands of personnel would be deployed around Monas to anticipate potential disruptions to social security and order and help smooth traffic flow.
“Today we are providing opinion expression activities. I have ordered all personnel to work humanistically and professionally, not to carry firearms, and to prioritize a dialogic approach,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Susatyo in his statement.

Susatyo also appealed to the action participants to keep the situation conducive.He also asked the orators not to provoke mass demonstrations.
“We hope that the orators will not provoke other masses. Express their opinions coolly, peacefully and in accordance with applicable regulations,” he said.
Susatyo also emphasized that freedom of opinion must be exercised in accordance with applicable regulations and without violating the law.
“You are not allowed to burn tires, do not damage public facilities, do not fight officers, and do not carry out anarchic actions. Aspirations can be expressed in an orderly and ethical manner,” he said.
Meanwhile, traffic engineering around Monas is implemented situationally, following developments in the number of people on the ground.
However, Susatyo appealed to road users passing around Monas to choose alternative routes to avoid potential traffic jams during the activities.
Based on the information gathered, the demonstration by Apdesi demanded that President Prabowo Subianto revoke a number of regulations, especially Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) number 81 of 2025 concerning the disbursement of village funds.
This regulation is considered to have stopped the distribution of Phase II Village Funds and diverted most of the village budget to programs that are not under the authority of the village government.
