Earthquake
magnitude (M) 5.3 rocked West Halmahera, North Maluku on Saturday (6/12) morning at around 07.44 WIB.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea about 54 kilometers (54) northwest of West Halmahera with a depth of 99 km.
The earthquake point was at 1.69 North Latitude, 127.24 East Longitude.The earthquake was also felt in a number of areas such as Manado, Minahasa and Ternate.
Until now, it is not known whether there were any casualties or damage caused by the earthquake.However, BMKG confirmed that the earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami.
“It did not trigger a tsunami,” said BMKG.
