confirmed that the skeleton found in Tenjo, Bogor, West Java was the body of Alvaro Kiano Nugroho (6).This was conveyed by the National Police Hospital based on the conclusions of the DNA test.
“Based on the results of DNA and dental examinations, it can be concluded that the skeleton with registration number 0062/XI/2025 is Alvaro Kiano Nugroho,” said Karumkit Polri Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulihartono in a press conference at the Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Thursday (4/12).

Prima explained that the National Police Hospital team of doctors immediately took DNA samples after receiving the skeleton from investigators.
Apart from DNA samples from the skeleton, the team of doctors also took DNA samples from Arum Indah Kusumastuti, Alvaro’s mother for the matching process.
He said the Forensic Ondotology team at Bhayangkara Hospital Level I Pusdokkes Polri had also carried out an examination to determine the estimated age of the victim based on the jawbone and dental elements found at the crime scene.
Prima said that from a series of examinations, it was concluded that the skeleton was the body of Alvaro’s child.
Previously, Alvaro Kiano Nugroho was declared missing since March 6.The incident began when Alvaro received permission to perform Maghrib prayers at the mosque near his house in the Ulujami area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.
However, after the Maghrib prayer it turned out that Alvaro had not come home.So, the family looked for his whereabouts.At that time, his friends admitted that they were not with Alvaro when praying.
Eight months after that, Alvaro was reportedly found dead and already a skeleton.The police also arrested Alvaro’s stepfather, Alex Iskandar, on Friday (21/11) and named him a suspect.
However, in the middle of the examination process, Alex committed suicide on Sunday (23/11) by hanging himself in the South Jakarta Metro Police counseling room.
