in the three affected provinces, namely North Sumatra, Aceh and West Sumatra.

“Of course there will be programs to improve infrastructure. In the future, rehabilitation. Meanwhile, we will continue to push for other (regions) at 5.4 to 5.6 percent,” he added.
Airlangga has not yet projected whether economic growth in the three areas affected by the disaster has the potential to fall into the negative zone.He only said that he still had to see future developments.
Previously, Airlangga projected national economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 to be in the range of 5.4 percent-5.6 percent.
He said this figure was driven by public consumption during the Christmas and New Year periods as well as government spending through ministries and institutions.
“So therefore there will be contributions from government spending, government spending, then from various social assistance programs and additional programs that hope for community mobility and also to take advantage of Nataru. We are optimistic that the range will be between 5.4-5.6 percent,” explained Airlangga in a press conference at his office, Wednesday (26/11).
The floods and landslides that occurred in Aceh previously killed 305 people and 191 others were missing, as well as destroying hundreds of public facilities and tens of thousands of residents’ homes.
