PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) won the Financial Sector Driving Award for the success of the Ultra Micro Holding (UMi) initiative in strengthening the people’s economic ecosystem in a sustainable manner, which was received last November.
At the event held by iNews Media Group in Jakarta, Director of Micro BRI, Akhmad Purwakajaya said that this award confirmed BRI’s consistency in strengthening the people’s economy through the UMi Holding synergy which has been proven to have a real impact on small businesses throughout Indonesia.
“This award confirms BRI’s commitment to continue to provide economic value as well as social value to society. We encourage UMi holding not only as business integration, but also as a driving force for the people’s economy so that ultra-micro business actors can move up in class and create new jobs,” said Akhmad.

Akhmad emphasized that in the future BRI will continue to strengthen the role of Holding UMi as an integrated financial ecosystem, as well as being a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.
UMi Holding, which consists of BRI, Pegadaian and PNM, is a strategic pillar in efforts to expand national financial inclusion.Until the end of September 2025, Holding UMi has reached 34.5 million active debtors with 185 million micro savings accounts.
Bullion services and the Tring digital application from Pegadaian have also strengthened BRI Group’s position in the national gold ecosystem, which has reached 14.1 million customers and total gold deposits of 14.2 tons, growing 52 percent year-on-year (YoY).
In expanding its reach and providing services closer to the community, Holding UMi has a service network that includes more than 15 thousand physical outlets, 1,035 SenyuM outlets (Ultra Micro Service Centers), 1.2 million BRILink Agents, more than 687 thousand BRI e-channels, as well as around 79 thousand marketers and financial advisors from BRI, Pegadaian and PNM spread throughout Indonesia.
Apart from providing access to capital and expanding access to the gold ecosystem, UMi Holding also actively assists micro business actors so that they are able to move up in class and be competitive.This assistance is carried out through various sustainable empowerment programs, including Rumah BUMN, BRILiaN Village, and Business Clusters.
Co-CEO of MNC Group and CEO of iNews Media Group, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, said that this award is given to figures and institutions who have contributed to nation building, with the hope that it can further inspire and motivate all parties to work together to develop Indonesia and support the realization of Asta Cita.

Anugerah Pengusaha Nusantara 2025 is an award event for ministries, state institutions, regional governments, BUMN/BUMD, private companies, and individual figures for their contributions in encouraging development and improving the welfare of Indonesian society.
