The Israeli Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) on Sunday (7/12) noted that there was an unprecedented sharp spike in mental health cases among soldiers.

Deputy Head of the Rehabilitation Department of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Tamar Shimoni, told Army Radio that his party had handled around 62 thousand psychiatric cases during the aggression in Gaza.This number has now skyrocketed to around 85 thousand cases.

According to Shimoni, one-third of Israeli soldiers experienced psychological problems related to the events of October 7, 2023.
Shimoni said that so many soldiers were experiencing mental problems, one therapist could treat up to 750 patients.In some areas it is even more than that.
Therefore, it is difficult for therapists to reach and provide quick treatment to patients.
Last November, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that there was a “widespread psychological crisis” in Israel due to the Zionist State’s brutal aggression in Gaza.According to the newspaper, nearly two million people in Tel Aviv need mental health support.
Many residents are reported to be addicted to drugs because of this problem.
Moreover, a number of Israeli media also reported an increase in suicides among Zionist soldiers.One of them, because of post-battle stress.
According to military data in October, there were 279 suicide attempts among soldiers over the past 18 months.As many as 36 of them resulted in death.
