immediately skyrocketed to position two in Indonesia’s best-selling films this year.This position was obtained after Rather Laen 2 collected more than 5 million viewers in less than two weeks since it was broadcast on November 27.
Imaginari on Sunday (7/12) announced that Rather Laen: Illuminate My Pantiku achieved more than 5 million viewers in 11 days of broadcast.

This figure was enough to make Agak Laen 2 immediately overtake many other Indonesian films, such as Sore: Wife from the Future (3,119,896), Petaka Gunung Gede (3,242,843), and Sugar Factory (4,726,760).
Rather Laen: Lit Pantiku saklek fills the position of the second best-selling Indonesian film this year.The film is now just below Jumbo with 10,233,002 viewers.Jumbo reached 10 million viewers after being broadcast for around 60 days since its release on March 31.

Not only that, Rather Laen 2 is also now in the top 10 best-selling Indonesian films of all time, behind Dilan 1991 which got 5,253,411.
The film also only needed around 1.39 million to dethrone Pengabdi Satan 2: Communion (6,391,982) and enter the top five highest grossing Indonesian films of all time.
It is not impossible for Rather Laen: Menala Pantiku to be able to overtake this achievement, if the trend of increasing viewers per day can persist and even continue to increase.Moreover, it hasn’t been two weeks since the film was shown in cinemas.
If it has the same performance as the first film, Agak Laen 2 has the potential to skyrocket even further by increasing the number of viewers during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays.
On the other hand, breaking 10 million without overtaking Jumbo is actually a new record for the Rather Laen series because the first film became the best-selling Indonesian film of 2024 by collecting 9,125,188 in 98 days of screening.
Rather Laen: Light Up My Panty!tells a new adventure for the comic quartet, Boris Bokir, Bene Dion, Indra Jegel, Oki Rengga, who this time work as detectives who always fail.
They get one last chance to prove themselves by going on an undercover mission at a mysterious nursing home.
Their mission is to hunt down a murder fugitive who is hiding among the elderly.The disguise of Bene, Boris, Jegel, and Oki in the orphanage triggers various chaos and absurd sitcoms.
