(AGO) The Republic of Indonesia handed over a fine bill worth IDR 6.6 trillion to the government on Wednesday (24/12).
The handover was carried out by Attorney General ST Burhanudin to Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.The event was also witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

The money was displayed at the Jampidsus AGO building, Jakarta.The pile of money contained IDR 100 thousand denominations which were arranged one meter high and filled the lobby of the Deputy Attorney General’s Roundhouse for Special Crimes.
The following are the facts regarding the IDR 6.6 trillion bill submitted by the Attorney General’s Office to the government:
1. Origin of the fine
This money was the result of collection of forestry administrative fines by the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) amounting to IDR 2.4 trillion.
Meanwhile, IDR 4.2 trillion was the result of saving state finances due to the handling of criminal acts of corruption by the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office.
2. Any fines
During his speech at the handover ceremony, Burhanuddin explained in more detail the results of the money handed over to the state.IDR 2.4 trillion came from administrative fines from dozens of companies.
“Those came from 20 palm oil companies, one nickel mining company,” said Burhanuddin.
He also explained the amount of money from dealing with corruption.
“This stems from a criminal case involving alleged corruption in the provision of CPO facilities and a sugar import case,” said the Attorney General.
3. Are there other potential fines?
Burhanudin said the AGO would pursue administrative fines for palm oil and mining companies in forest areas in 2026 totaling around IDR 142.23 trillion.
“The potential administrative fine for palm oil is IDR 109.6 trillion. The administrative potential for mining is IDR 32.63 trillion,” he said.
4. Continue to pursue fines
Chairman of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Team of Experts, Barita Simanjuntak, previously said that there were 49 palm oil companies with a total fine estimated at IDR 9.4 trillion.Dozens of these companies have also been charged fines.
Of the 33 companies present, there were 15 companies that had paid a total of IDR 1.7 trillion, five companies were ready to pay, and 13 companies had submitted objections.
Apart from that, there are three companies that have not yet attended billing and 13 companies that are waiting for the billing schedule.Palm oil companies that have stated their ability to pay a total fine of IDR 83,386,250,000.00.
Thus, if recapitulated, the total amount of fines from palm oil companies that will be received by the state is IDR 1,844,965,750,000.00.
Then regarding mining, Barita said there were 22 mining companies that were charged fines.Of this number, 13 companies are present, while nine companies are included in the billing schedule.
Of the 13 companies, one corporation has paid IDR 500 billion out of a total of IDR 2.094 trillion.Then, there were three companies that received fines and were ready to pay a total of IDR 1,643,731,412,940.00, while one company still submitted an objection.
If recapitulated, a total of IDR 3,738,431,987,940.00 will be received by the state from collecting fines from mining companies.
5. Prabowo supports the PKH Task Force
Prabowo fully supports the efforts to restore state finances carried out by the PKH Task Force.On that occasion, he also expressed his gratitude for the performance of the PKH Task Force which succeeded in restoring the function of 4 million hectares of forest and recovering state losses.
He then asked all levels of the task force not to hesitate to take action against corporations that violate the law.Prabowo also took aim at mining and palm oil companies that were denying the state.
“Don’t hesitate, don’t be indiscriminate. Don’t be lobbied here, be lobbied there. Enforce the regulations, save the country’s wealth,” said Prabowo at the fine collection handover ceremony.
“Imagine how many corporations? These 20 companies? 20 companies don’t want to fulfill their obligations, which could save the lives of 100 thousand of our brothers and sisters,” he said.
