“(Security) at the southern crossing of Monas/Gambir is 2,921 personnel, (then) 1,704 security personnel at the DPR,” said Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Inspector Ruslan Basuki to reporters, Wednesday.

Based on data from the Central Jakarta Metro Police, the demonstration in the Monas crossing area was held by the Joint People’s Labor Movement (GEBRAK) and several other mass elements.Meanwhile, a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR Building was held by a number of elements of society.
Ruslan said that traffic engineering around the demonstration location is situational.Traffic flow diversion will be carried out by looking at the situation and conditions on the ground.
Ruslan also appealed to the demonstration participants to demonstrate in an orderly manner and comply with applicable regulations.
“For people who want to convey their opinions, please do so in an orderly manner,” he said.
