This arrest brings the number of perpetrators of the Louvre Museum theft to eight people.France arrested four suspected perpetrators last month.

On October 19, 2025, four people robbed the Louvre Museum, the world’s busiest art museum, during the day.Within seven minutes, they stole jewelry with a total value of US$102 million or the equivalent of Rp. 1.7 trillion.
They came in a truck equipped with a ladder to the museum’s Apollo Gallery.The robbers broke windows, broke open glass displays, and took valuable possessions there.
Then, they fled using a scooter.
The thieves dropped a crown decorated with diamonds and emeralds belonging to Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III while fleeing.
However, they managed to take away eight other pieces of jewelry, including a necklace decorated with diamonds and emeralds that Napoleon I gave to his second wife, Empress Marie-Louise.
Four people, consisting of three men and one woman, were charged last month.One of the three men was the partner of the woman in the group.They have children.
The robbers were arrested after their DNA was found in
elevator
basket used in the robbery.
Even though eight perpetrators have been arrested, the authorities have not succeeded in finding the whereabouts of the eight legendary pieces of jewelry that were stolen.
