36 Years Honorary, Teacher in NTT Officially Becomes PPPK

Asnat Nenabu, an honorary teacher at the Sobana Fatilo Early Childhood Education School (PAUD), North Amanatun, South Central Timor, NTT, cannot hide his joy after officially becoming a part-time Government Employee with a Work Agreement (PPPK).
“I would like to thank Mr. President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, who responded to my video. And convey my greetings from Mama Asnat to Mr. President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto,” said Asnat on the Sobana Fotilo PAUD page, Thursday (27/11).
The 56-year-old woman was on the part-time PPPK list for South Central Timor Regency after 36 years of teaching.He started teaching after graduating from high school at Puli Christian Middle School, then moved to Inpres Fotilo Elementary School.Because the school requires all teachers to have a bachelor’s degree, and she doesn’t have the money to go to college, Asnat decided to teach at PAUD until now.

Asnat’s name went viral on social media because he asked the government to pay attention to the fate of honorary employees like him.He hopes that before retiring at the age of 60, he can experience receiving a salary from the government for just one day.During his 12 years of teaching at PAUD, he admitted that he only received a salary of IDR 200 thousand per month from BOS funds.
Asnat admitted that he was very happy after receiving confirmation from the South Central Timor Regency Government that he was now officially a part-time PPPK teacher.However, he still hopes that his fellow honorary teachers can also be appointed as PPPK soon.
“I also want, I have friends too, if possible, they can also feel the blessings from the government. Because I have friends who also serve this young general generation,” said Asnat.
Asnat further admitted that his salary had now increased.However, Asnat said that salary was not the main thing for him.Asnat admits that he really loves children and wants to instill ethical values, honesty and courage from an early age.
“Our [salary] has been increased. One month IDR 500 thousand. Only six months in 2025,” said Asnat.
“I educate them from the time they are in the mother’s womb, from one month in the womb to nine months. I take care of pregnant women until they give birth, then when they are two years and above, three years and above, I take them again to enter PAUD. And I want to let go of the energy I have. I say, if I can’t walk, then I will give up teaching, because I really love them,” he added.
